Head over Heels

Who loves wearing high heels/killer heels/sexy heels??I think most women would jump with hands high in the air upon hearing that question, while some would shrink back (like me for example...hahaha)
A social interview once revealed that many of the interviewed women said they will keep wearing high heels despite the fact that it's painful and uncomfortable for them.
I don't mean to invoke any undue wrath for you high heels supporters, I do wear the pointy stuff that elevate us from the ground, in fact the pics that I got here are some of my own collection XD. But we all also know the health-disadvantage of wearing high heels daily for a long period of time.

I'm not a big fan of high heels to begin with, it took me a long time to be able to balance myself on a pair of high heels (except for stiletto, that's pretty much a lost case).
I do admit that we women need high heels on some important occasion like:

1. To compliment a long party gown (unless you are blessed with long legs and tall body that permits you to wear flats to party, arghh so lucky!)

2. When height is needed. eg. when wearing the maxi dress, because you don't want to literally be head over heels stumbling on your dress

2. Going on an important date on a beautiful restaurant that requires you to dress up, or else you will bring shame to your partner :p

Here's what I usually do when wearing high heels:

1. I try not to wear high heels when walking on the street because the concrete makes it hurts double I'd rather walk bare-feet

2. If I need to wear high heels on the destination, I bring flip flops to wear while walking on the street and then change when I got there

3. Try not to wear high heels the whole day

4. Trying to go for medium heels, platform, and choosing the most comfortable ones (if possible)

The good side of these practices is my high heels tend to last for a very looooonger time (I just broke my 6 years old rotelli high heels).... the bad side is of course I can't but those pretty new release high heels while I still have mine perfectly untouched (or can I??)

What about you?? Do you wear high heels alot? or are you a fan of flats? For my guy readers, do you think high heels compliment the looks or makes someone look sexier?

ANd for you fellow Australians, HAPPY OZ DAY!!! :D

Ha Hana! I LOVED This post!!!
I have a love/hate relationship with heels!!
I have so many of them but they mostly sit in their boxes and look pretty! On occasions when I am feeling daring or going out I will pull a pair out, but usually after about 3 hours or so of wearing them I am regretting it big time and would sell my first born for a pair of flats lol which is a shame because I need the height! I am a shortie :)

I love high heels and used to wear them a lot. I'm weird in a way that my feet hurt more when I'm wearing flats x_x I read an explanation just recently, saying that the bones in my feet are built that way, in the same way that flat-footed people cannot really stand wearing heels for an extended period of time. :)

OoOo I loooove high heels! I'd wear them all the time if I could, but of course, they ARE bad for your body. :( Those were great tips that you posted--thank you! I always keep a few pairs of shoes in my car (like sneakers, slippers, wedges, and heels) just in case I need one type or another. haha. :P

Nice post!

I always wear flats to school but other than that, I'll opt for heels! I used to hate being on high heels because I'm pretty tall compared to my girl friends so if I wear heels around them, I'll look gigantic. But now I feel comfortable in heels and just started to build my collection :)

Well, heels are nice. They do add something for most women, but not all. Putting height/length aside, if a girl has attractive legs, they will be attractive either way--unless they are hairy!!! LOL

Legs don't have to be long to be attractive.

I always wear flats at work. Or flatter shoes. Just because there's no one I'm trying to impress at work anyways. I wear lower heels when I go out clubbing etc cuz I know I'd be drinking and well, high heels and being drunk is not a good combination HAHAHA. thanks for your comment and yeah it's from the same photographer, I jist havent' gotten around to editing them until now!

Oh gosh... i am horrible with wearing heels !hahaha! i get tired after a few hours and always carry a pair of flip flops with me for when i can't take it anymore. I love the look when i wear heels but seriosuly.... comfort overrides all these feelings. haha! ;P

Lol, I can't walk in anything over 3.5 inches! Isn't that sad?

And WHEN I DO wear heels, I always feel like a tranny. I can't walk "womanly" enough. When I was younger, I used to walk like a boy...
so every day after kindergarten class, my mom would make me walk back-and-forth across the living room floor with a DICTIONARY on the top of my head!! :(

And damn, it had to be ONE OF THOSE "Vietnamese-to-English" translating dictionaries. That damn thang was soo heavy on my poor lil' 5-year-old head!

I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE high heels!! ^___^ I'd wear them all the time if I could. But then people would give me weird looks if I went about everywher in them. The down side to going to school in such a small town, no one dresses up unless there's a special event, so I can't wear my heels *boo*

Belated Oz Day!

Your question reminded me of an old joke. Two female tourists visiting Ireland decide to have dinner in a pub. They both love the waitress's Irish accent. When she brings the check at the end of dinner, one of the women says, "It's so charming the way you roll your R's." The waitress blushed a little and responded, "That only happens when I'm wearin' me heels!"

I hope this isn't inappropriate!

I LOVE heels, but i always keep a pair of flats in my bag when i wear them out, just in case

I shrink at the thought of having to wear high heels and shiver at upon hearing stiletto. I'm a girly girl who always wears dresses, but you hardly ever see me wear heels. I have no idea how to walk in them and they are just horribly uncomfortable.

i love heels! and yes they hurt but they look good.ha~

i used to wear heels everyday to school. no one realised i was actually 'short'.. until uni when i just couldnt be bothered to dress up to go to lectures.lol. but really who can i impress? my half asleep classmates?.. my old boring lecturers? ewww :s lol and now at work i have to wear white flat shoes..

aa..i miss my heels.. it'll be so much pain to get into them now though...
lol.. love your tips.. but i couldnt go barefoot here. so unclean^^ but the flip flop idea sounds doable~
